The fruit in our rich fruit cakes is soaked in alcohol for 2 weeks before making the cake. Once the cake is baked, it is left to mature for three months. My husband performs the weekly ritual of "feeding" the cake with alcohol. Alcohol free cakes are also available.
We advise customers to order the cakes at least 3 months in advance. Unless you require sugar flowers as part of the decoration, all we require at that time of ordering is the shape and size of the cake.
The madeira based cakes are baked two days before the occasion using the best ingredients which include almonds and butter. Flavours include:.

Lemon madeira with lemon buttercream filling and lemon curd
Orange madeira with orange buttercream filling and orange curd
Vanilla madeira with vanilla buttercream and strawberry or raspberry jam
Carrot cake with Cream cheese filling.
Pecan and ginger cake with glace ginger cream cheese filling
Coffee and walnut cake with coffee and Tia Maria butter cream
Death by Chocolate cake with Sour Cream and chocolate filling.
Sachertorte with apricot jam and ganache.
